The Ceasefire Deal: A Strategic Surrender and a Spiritual Failure

How the Recent Agreement Violates Torah Principles and Empowers Our Enemies

The "Open Check" for Hamas

After a careful examination of the facts, it becomes clear that the recent ceasefire agreement functions less as a peace deal and more as an "open check" for Hamas's next war. The terrorist organization achieved nearly all of its strategic demands.

· Prisoner Release: Israel agreed to release thousands of Palestinian security prisoners, ensuring that, for the first time in years, not a single high-profile Hamas militant remains in an Israeli prison. This is a devastating blow to Israeli deterrence.

· Financial Unfreezing: As part of the deal, major bank accounts linked to Hamas were unfrozen, releasing billions of dollars back into the organization's control. This funding is not for humanitarian aid in Gaza; as confirmed by numerous intelligence reports, it is the lifeblood of terrorism, used to rebuild tunnels, rearm rockets, and pay terrorists. We have already seen the immediate result: Hamas militants brazenly executing collaborators at point-blank range in central Gaza streets, a stark demonstration of who is back in control. It is, tragically, back to business as usual.

Israel's Hollow Victories

In exchange for these monumental concessions, what did Israel receive?

The return of our remaining hostages and the bodies of our fallen soldiers is, on a human level, a profound relief. However, on a strategic national level, it is the only tangible gain. The "ceasefire" is, by its very nature, temporary. The photo opportunities and declarations of victory cannot mask the bitter reality.

After two years of fierce conflict, a terrible economic burden, and the loss of over a thousand brave soldiers, the net result is this: Israel retrieves the last 50 hostages, while Hamas regains its funding, its fighting force, and a green light to rearm. They have not been eradicated; they have been reloaded. Having learned from their mistakes, their next attack will be far more sophisticated and devastating.

The Torah Mandate: Eradicating Amalek

From a Jewish perspective, this deal represents a catastrophic failure to fulfill our Torah obligations. The paradigm for dealing with an enemy like Hamas is the commandment regarding Amalek.

The Torah (Deuteronomy 25:17-19) commands:

"Remember what Amalek did to you on the way, when you were leaving Egypt. How he happened upon you on the way and cut off all the stragglers at your rear, and you were weary and exhausted; and he did not fear God. ...You shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!"

The defining characteristics of Amalek are:

1. Attacking the weak: They targeted the stragglers, the most vulnerable at the rear of the camp.

2. Attacking without fear of God: Their actions were devoid of any moral restraint.

Hamas's actions on October 7th and their ongoing strategy fit this definition precisely. They targeted peaceful communities, murdering and kidnapping civilians in their homes. Their brutality demonstrates a complete absence of the fear of God.

The current deal violates the core of this commandment. The principle of "Lo Ta'chonem" (Do not be gracious to them), as derived from Deuteronomy 7:2, instructs us not to show mercy to those who have done such evil, as it compromises divine justice. By granting full immunity to Hamas members for their atrocities, this agreement is the very embodiment of showing mercy where the Torah demands justice.

As for the command to "obliterate" and "not forget," this deal achieves 0%.

We are, through this agreement, being forced to forget. We are not eradicating the enemy; we are empowering it.

Controlled Chaos and the Need for a New Government

This feels less like a miscalculation and more like "Controlled Chaos" by design (bolshovik style see my earlier article video for clear definition of the bolshovik evil: https://www.mnglobal.org/post/rosh-hashanah-with-the-firstborn-from-poison-to-elixer-of-life).

It is a strategy that keeps the nation in a perpetual state of drama, like a TV series cliffhanger, ensuring we are always waiting for the "next episode" instead of achieving permanent safety.

This cycle is unsustainable and antithetical to our destiny.

We did not gather from the four corners of the earth after 2,000 years of exile to be spit out of our land for defying Hashem's commandments.

The people of Israel want, deserve, and must demand better.

It is time for a fundamental change in governance.

We do not need a reshuffling of the same secular-minded coalition, like the Likud, which has proven it lacks the spiritual fortitude for this epochal struggle.

We need a new, strong right-wing government, built from smaller, principle-driven parties that can form a ruling coalition.

This new leadership must be founded on one non-negotiable condition: Hashem is our King, and the Torah is our law.

They must align with the existing religious parties—Shas, United Torah Judaism (ג), and the Religious Zionist Party—in a pact of self-sacrifice, united with the sole purpose of manifesting the prophecy of our redemption in real time in the Holy Land.

This is a horrible déjà vu of the Gilad Shalit deal, but on a far more dangerous scale.

Then, we released over 1,000 terrorists, many of whom became the leaders of Hamas's next wave of violence.

This time, it is closer to 3,000.

Some will claim this is the end of terror.

But The true question is: can a government with a track record of vacillation be trusted with our future?

We were lucky to have survived this far.

But for the next, most critical part of our journey in preparation for Moshiach, we require leadership rooted in pure emunah (faith).

It will take more than well-intentioned secularists to lead the nation of Israel to its ultimate redemption.

Our very survival, phisically and spiritually depends on it.

May we merit to restore the great wisdom of the Sanhedrin to counsel this lost generation. Amen.
