Like Moshe, who ascended for forty days to receive Torah, Mashiach will ascend to heaven and only then fully realize his role.
Initially, “he will be revealed, yet no one will perceive him.” Even his family and contemporaries may not recognize him.
After concealment in the “pillar of fire” (a metaphor for Divine incubation of the lofty soul), he returns clothed in power, glory, and Hashem’s crown.

Revealed in Galilee: Since Galilee was the first to fall to exile, it will be the first to see consolation (cf. Isaiah 9:1–2). The Zohar says Mashiach manifests there first.
Hidden and Concealed: Like Moshe before his mission, Mashiach is hidden, then revealed only after receiving strength from heaven.
Ascends to Heaven, Returns: Like Moshe who ascended Sinai, Mashiach ascends to the heavenly Palace, receives crown and authority, and returns to manifest God’s kingship on earth.
