Bibi Netanyahu: A Legacy of Defeat, The Day That Never Ends

By Rabbi Yosef Edery

Benjamin Netanyahu’s reign as Israel’s longest-serving prime minister is a masterclass in illusion: the illusion of strength, the illusion of strategy, and most of all, the illusion of victory. The reality? Netanyahu’s legacy is a never-ending cycle of strategic failure, self-sabotage, and national humiliation.

The Bottom Line: With Bibi, No Victory, No Security

Let’s cut through the noise: Israel is losing. Not just in battles but in spirit, in land, and in purpose. Netanyahu talks tough, but on his watch, Israel has withdrawn, retreated, conceded, and bartered away hard-won victories like a desperate merchant in the market.

Bibi Failure Number 1

Gush Katif, 2005:

Over 8,000 Jews were expelled from their homes in Gaza. Netanyahu voted for the disengagement multiple times before resigning last-minute for political theater. Hamas took over, and now, instead of vibrant Jewish communities, we have terror tunnels and rocket launches.

bibi Failure Number 2

Judea and Samaria:

Netanyahu has been prime minister for over a decade, and yet, despite all the right-wing slogans, sovereignty over Jewish land remains a fantasy. More Arab construction, more illegal Palestinian settlements, and most importantly, more terrorism and instability.

Failure Number 3

October 7 War Aftermath:

Hundreds of Israeli soldiers have died fighting in Gaza, retaking territory, only for Netanyahu’s government (besides Otsmah Yehudit) to withdraw and hand it all back to Hamas in a ludicrous ceasefire. The result? Israel buries its dead while Hamas gets a fresh start.

The Oslo Mindset Never Left

The heart of the problem? Netanyahu thinks like a leftist. He’s part of the Oslo appeasement mindset, the same twisted ideology that believes if we just give the Arabs enough land, enough handshakes, enough gestures of goodwill, they’ll finally stop trying to kill us. It’s a lie. It was always a lie. And yet, Netanyahu—yes, the same Netanyahu who shook hands with Yasser Arafat like a grinning fool—continues the cycle.

The left in Israel abandoned Zionism after the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. They Noticed the right will be winning a lot, and they don't have the voting numbers to push back, so, Instead of fighting for Jewish survival, they allied with Israel’s enemies - Arab political parties - against their new target: right-wing and religious Jews. And Netanyahu? He played right into their hands. Instead of cementing Jewish sovereignty, he has spent decades placating terrorists and enabling the political left’s slow betrayal of Israel’s destiny.

A Confused, Weak, Self-Serving Leader

Netanyahu is not a leader. He is a career politician whose only real skill is survival. His decisions aren’t guided by principles, by Zionism, or by national strength. They are guided by his personal calculations of how to stay in power. That’s why he has no problem giving the left whatever they want. That’s why, despite all the grand speeches, Israel is still stuck in this pathetic loop of fighting, winning, withdrawing, and waiting for the next war.

Excuses, Excuses—Blaming America for Israeli Cowardice

One of Netanyahu’s favorite escape routes is blaming the United States. Every time he concedes land, frees terrorists, or folds under pressure, he runs the same tired script: “It’s not my fault, America made me do it.”

Let’s be clear: America is an ally, not a master. Israel is not a puppet state. The United States stands up for its own interests, and Israel must do the same. A real leader does not sell out his people because a foreign power "pressured" him. But Netanyahu? Time and time again, he has willingly bent over backward to appease American leaders, whether Democrat or Republican. It’s not about America forcing him—it’s about his own lack of a backbone.

If Netanyahu’s only strategy is to follow Washington’s lead, then of course Israel keeps losing. If he truly understood who he was, if he truly understood who he represented, he would stand tall and act in a way that: Eretz Yisrael belongs to the Jewish people, and no foreign power dictates our fate.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Warning: No Land for Concessions

Netanyahu, like other Zionist leaders before him, was warned by the Lubavitcher Rebbe: Do not give away even one inch of the Land of Israel. This land was promised by Hashem to Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov—not to the U.S. State Department, not to the European Union, and certainly not to Hamas.

The Rebbe made it clear: No Jew—no politician, no prime minister—has the right to give away Jewish land. If a government dares to do so, it is acting in betrayal of its own people. But Israel’s leaders, including Netanyahu, have pretended that they have the authority to divide and secede land, all while falsely claiming to represent "the Jewish people."

They don’t. They represent their own political survival. and enough time, good people in the right places, will undue Netanyahu's betraying Israel, useless semantics.

Regarding the Land of Israel, Is The Torah The Actionable Law of the faithful?

The Catholic Church holds significant real estate in Israel, including properties in Jerusalem such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. These holdings date back centuries, with some agreements, like the 1952 deal between the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate and the Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), allowing the Church to retain formal ownership while granting development rights to Israeli entities.

The question of rightful ownership of the land is complex and deeply rooted in religious texts. The Torah states that the Land of Israel was promised by God to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, it also emphasizes that the land ultimately belongs to God, and the Jewish people are its stewards.

In the New Testament, some interpretations suggest that the concept of the "Promised Land" is fulfilled through Jesus Christ, and thus, the physical land holds a different significance for Christians.

Given these perspectives, the presence of non-Jewish ownership in the Holy Land is a result of historical developments and theological interpretations. While some may view this as contradictory to the divine promises in religious texts, others see it as a reflection of the land's complex and shared history among different faiths.

Therefore, the current ownership landscape in Israel is a product of historical agreements and diverse religious understandings, rather than a straightforward contradiction of scriptural promises.

The Paradox of the Faithful

It is a profound paradox that adherents of Islam and Christianity, whose sacred texts affirm the divine grant of the Holy Land to the Children of Israel, often contest this very inheritance. The Quran explicitly acknowledges this divine bequest. In Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:21), Moses addresses the Israelites:

"O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back and become losers."

Furthermore, Surah Al-Isra (17:104) states:

"And We said to the Children of Israel after him, 'Dwell in the land, then, when the final promise comes to pass, We will bring you as a mixed crowd.'"

Similarly, the Torah, revered by both Jews and Christians, contains numerous passages where God promises the Land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In Genesis 12:7, it is written:

"The Lord appeared to Abram and said, 'To your offspring I will give this land.'"

In Genesis 13:15, God reiterates:

"All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever."

During times of exile and spiritual obscurity, one might argue that the non-Jewish possession of parts of the Holy Land was a consequence of historical circumstances or ignorance of the will of the creator.

However, in our current era, often perceived as the dawn of messianic times, it becomes imperative for all who profess faith in these scriptures to recognize and honor this divine allocation.

The continued ownership of significant portions of the Holy Land by various religious entities, including the Catholic Church, stands in contrast to these scriptural mandates.

It is estimated that Christian institutions, particularly the Catholic Church, own substantial tracts of land in Israel, including sacred sites and extensive real estate holdings.

This enduring possession can be seen as a remnant of historical dominion, echoing eras when foreign powers exerted control over the land or worse, the Bavelonyion and Roman's destroying of the first and second temple which included the killing of tens of thousands of Jews in the holy land of Israel.

Moreover, the actions of secular Israeli governments, whether under leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu or left-wing administrations, in ceding parts of this divinely promised land, represent a profound departure from the Torah's commandments.

Such concessions not only undermine the eternal covenant between the Children of Israel and the Almighty but also perpetuate a historical pattern of external influence over the Holy Land.

In this pivotal time, it is incumbent upon all believers to advocate for the restoration of the Holy Land to its rightful inheritors as written in the Torah and Quran, enabling the Jewish people to fully observe the 613 mitzvot within their divinely ordained homeland for the betterment of all humanity.

Details regarding Christian ownership of land in Israel added by request of President of the Nation of Ephraim Mr Hubert.

The Trend is Clear

Since Netanyahu first took office, Israel’s security situation has not improved. It has deteriorated.

The more we fight, the more we concede. The more we win, the more we retreat. This is not strategy. This is not leadership. This is sabotage—whether intentional or simply due to the cowardice of a man who refuses to act decisively.

The Jewish people deserve better. Israel deserves better. And if Netanyahu cannot—or will not—break this cycle, then he must go.

With Bibi chocking up the seat of prime minister, it might not seem clear where Israel should go from here, but that is far from the truth, good leaders are to be found, here are a few people who with hashems help can assist Israel reach its dignity and respect once again.

Bibi Netanyahu: A Legacy of Defeat, The Day That Never Ends
Picture depicting how Bibi is thinking about "what America thinks" and his "chair" political career" while his counters are thinking of the "torah" the wellbeing of "israel" and how to "do good" in israel, in Hebrew it says "vote stronger right because with Bibi there will never be victory"

Israel does not lack strong, principled leaders—it lacks the willingness to put them in power.

Moshe Feiglin is a true God-fearing warrior, a leader whose unshakable faith in the Torah guides every one of his decisions. His stance on safety and security is not polluted by political games, money, or illusions of personal grandeur. He does not seek approval from foreign governments or corrupt elites—he seeks the truth, the strength of Am Yisrael, and the fulfillment of Hashem’s will. A leader like Feiglin would bring true Zionist leadership back to Israel in the upcoming elections.

Alongside him, Yaron Zlika is a brilliant economic leader who actually understands Israel’s financial instability and how to fix it. While he may not have the full wisdom of the Torah, his dedication to economic stability is real. If he stands together with other God-fearing leaders, his expertise could bring Israel out of its economic struggles and into a future of strength and prosperity.

Then there is Itamar Ben-Gvir, the only right-wing politician who has stayed true to his identity. Unlike the other so-called “right-wing” members of Netanyahu’s government, he did not hesitate to pull out when it became clear that the post-October 7 ceasefire was nothing but another humiliating surrender. Ben-Gvir understands who he is, who he represents, and that the Land of Israel is not up for negotiation. His willingness to defy the political establishment proves that he is a leader with integrity, unlike those who bow to pressure and betrayal.

These are the types of leaders Israel needs—leaders who stand for Torah, truth, and the strength of the Jewish nation.

If we continue to vote for Benjamin Netanyahu, we are choosing to remain trapped in this nightmare—a nightmare where Jewish blood is spilled, victories are squandered, and our enemies laugh as we hand them everything they could never take by force. It is a cycle that never ends, a suffocating, relentless loop of war, loss, and betrayal. We wake up to funerals of our soldiers, we watch our leaders make empty speeches, we see the IDF fight heroically—only to retreat, only to surrender, only to let the enemy regroup and strike again. It is a battlefield where we win wars but lose the peace, a chessboard where our pieces move forward only to be knocked back again. We bury our children, we mourn our fallen, and we tell ourselves it will be different this time—but it never is. As long as Netanyahu remains in power, the sun will rise each morning on a country that is still bleeding, still retreating, still bending to foreign pressure. Israel deserves a leader who will break this cycle, not prolong it. The choice is ours: continue the nightmare, or wake up and fight for victory.

Romans 8 28. He is supposed to bring forward the Messiah. It seems that the time for the Messiah has come to finish off what nobody else did before. Thus the glory belongs to G-d.
